“My thoughts and emotions were all over the place about our revisit to this changed place. We hated it just a few months ago. Now I wasn’t sure how I felt about being there, although the hormigas felt like a harbinger of doom. I now enjoyed the beauty there, and I appreciated the changes from the spring, but my gut still screamed that something was off. I had some bad feelings about this supposed piece of paradise, but before I began to analyze them, I questioned what was taking Mac and Isabelle so long.”
